Grades 1-12

"WIND WAGONS TO ROCKETS" TOUR 
(2 hours) 

This presentation explores how aviation and The Glenn L. Martin Company changed society and communities over time,. A trip to the flight line at Strawberry Point is included featuring the 15 aircraft on display and a tour guide led  discussion of  the differences and improvements in aircraft. 

$10 per student and adult 

Grades 2-8

AIRPORT CAREERS TOUR
(2 hours) 

This program features a walking tour from the Museum to the Martin State Airport Fixed Base Operations, visit  to a hangar, and discussion of the many careers at the airport. This program includes a tour of the museum.

Option: Add one hour to your visit to include a tour of the Museum's  flight line for an additional charge of $2 per student.

$10 per student; $10.00 per adult

Grades 6-12

THE B-26 ASSEMBLY TEAM WORKSHOP
 (2 hours)  

This workshop features a presentation outlining the need for bombers before WWII; and team-work and role-playing assembling a large, scale model of the B-26 Marauder Airplane.

Option: Add one hour to your visit and add a trip to the outdoor flight line introducing 15 aircraft on display and discussing the differences and improvement in aircraft for an additional charge of $2 per student.

$10 per student; $10.00 per adult  

Grades 3-6

"IT’S ROCKET SCIENCE" WORKSHOP  
(3 hours)

This workshop features the dynamics of flight. After a brief presentation on rocketry, each student assembles a paper rocket and launches it - propelled by means of a pressurized trajectory and stability in refining optimal designs. This workshop includes a tour of the Museum's exhibits.

Option: Add 30 minutes to your visit to include a tour of the Museum's  flight line for an additional charge of $2 per student..

$15 per student; $10.00 per adult

Grades 3-12
"AVIATION WORKSHOP"
(3 Hours)
Various presentations may include – Forces of Flight and Controls for Flight, testing flight of paper airplanes and gliders, aircraft communication and ground signals, etc. It includes a tour of the museum, gallery and a trip to the outdoor flight line introducing more than15 aircraft on display while indicating the differences and history of the aircraft. 
$15 per student; $10 per adult

Preschool and Kindergarten

"TYPES OF AIRCRAFT"
90 minutes
This is a walking tour (weather permitting) of more than fifteen aircraft on display at the outdoor flight line.  Students are shown the differences and similarities in the aircraft - helicopters, airplanes, and jets.  (Note:  One adult for every 5 children is required for this tour.)
$8 per student; $8 per adult

"ROBOTICS WORKSHOP"
2 HOURS
Learn about robots in space. Workshop brings coding to life featuring Edison programable rover robots; designed to expand interest in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math Education.
$20 per student; $10 per adult
